Low Voltage Technician

ALG Senior is seeking a skilled and experienced Low Voltage Technician to join our team and support the installation, maintenance, and repair of low voltage systems across our senior living communities. This role involves working with systems such as security, fire alarms, nurse call systems, structured cabling, and audio/visual components to ensure the safety, functionality, and efficiency of our facilities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and committed to supporting the well-being of our residents. Responsibilities include installing, maintaining, and upgrading systems such as access control, CCTV, intercoms, fire alarms, and data/telecom networks; conducting routine inspections and preventive maintenance; ensuring all work complies with applicable codes, safety standards, and company policies; diagnosing and resolving system issues using appropriate tools and expertise; repairing or replacing faulty components; and maintaining accurate records of service calls and equipment performance. The technician will also adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations, stay current on evolving technologies and best practices, and promote a strong culture of safety through active participation in safety briefings and audits. Additional duties include responding promptly to work orders and system alerts, communicating clearly with team members and facility staff, demonstrating professionalism and sensitivity in a senior living environment, tracking inventory of tools and components, and assisting with project planning, cost estimation, and system documentation for renovations or new installations. Qualified candidates should have at least two years of experience working with low voltage systems in commercial or residential settings, a strong understanding of fire alarm, security, access control, data cabling, and audio/visual systems, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. Strong communication skills, the ability to work independently and collaboratively, and a valid driver’s license are required, while NICET, BICSI, or equivalent certifications are preferred, and a criminal background check is required.
